  • The College and Career team is pleased to announce that students can take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) on Thursday, December 19th, at 9:00 AM in the College & Career Center. This assessment is a valuable tool for discovering your strengths and interests, guiding your educational and career choices, and opening doors to scholarships and military opportunities. Be sure to check your SCUSD email to register!
  • Seniors! Tomorrow night is the night! Join us online for financial aid night. Invite your parent/guardian/family and friends to learn all about the college financial aid process and what you will need to fill out the FAFSA or CAADA. The link has been emailed to your student email, your guardians email and can also be found on the JFK website under upcoming events. Hope to see you all online!
  • Attention current juniors, course selection where you pick your classes for senior year will begin next week through your English classes. You will meet with your counselor to help you select the best classes to achieve your goals. Please check your school email for more information about the process so that you are prepared for course selection. Please be in school as this is very important. Counselors are looking forward to working with you!
  • Interested in dual enrollment? Join us on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 2:27 PM to 3:27 PM for an informational session about Sacramento City College’s dual enrollment program. This is a great opportunity to earn college credits and boost your GPA. Check your SCUSD email to register. For questions, visit the College and Career office or email Ms. Prasad.   • Seniors, this is a reminder that the application deadline for CSU and UC is approaching November 30th! If you plan to apply to a CSU, UC, or private university, check your SCUSD email for a message from Mrs. Prasad about your potential application fee waiver. Follow the instructions in the email to secure your waiver, and if you need help with your application, feel free to schedule an appointment with Ms. Prasad.
