  • Hey what is up?! Do you want to donate some blood and save a life? You can totally do that by signing up for the Blood Drive on 10/5. Stop by the signup table during lunch on the stage to pick up a registration and parent consent form. Donate some blood, save a life, and you’ll receive a free T-shirt. What are you waiting for? 
  • Applications are live for CSF (the California Scholarship Federation Club)! Signing up looks good on college apps, can get you access to scholarships, and earns you graduation accessories! Meetings are usually the 2nd Tuesday of each month after school. Freshmen can’t sign up until the 2nd semester. Applications are in Room T5 and due 9/28. Hope to see you there!
  • All are warmly welcomed to join Interact Club! Interact is an international club that places Service above Self! It will benefit both you and the community! Interact will be there during Club Rush, so come, sign up, and be a part of this engaging high school experience!
  • The Homecoming is quickly approaching! The theme this year is Disney! This week: audition for the rally Tuesday and Thursday in Casey’s Corner! Nominate your friends or yourself for royalty Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on stage! Dance tickets also go on sale in Casey’s Corner. Check the flyers around campus for prices!
  • Attention all clubs! Applications are due TODAY by 4:00 if you would like to participate in CLUB RUSH on Friday! Applications are available in the counseling office and Casey’s Corner!
  • Do you know what you are doing after you graduate?  Are you considering a college or university?  Be Proactive!!! CSU Stanislaus will be on campus today to answer questions about their University…including their nursing program.  Stop by their table in the quad.
  • Tomorrow, the University of Nevada Reno will be doing a presentation at lunch in room B-17.  Bring your food and learn more.  See the counselors for more info. 
  • Come check out Friday Night Live in C311 at lunch. We are looking for club members who would like to make a difference on campus and in the community.
  • Are you taking a foreign language but think that you should be in a higher level? Come to C311 to take the challenge test with Mr. Bryant after school Tuesday, September 18th!
  • Any junior or senior student who has a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or over and is interested in joining National Honor Society can pick up an application in room C301.  The deadline to pick up an application is Sept. 20.  Once again,  any junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or over and is interested in joining NHS pick up an application in C301.  Juniors who were members last year must re-apply.
  • Join the Rainbow Coalition in weekly meetings to discuss LGBTQ issues, have a safe place to hang out, play games and do arts and crafts.  Wednesdays at lunch in Room D4.
  • Need help with English?  Writing assignments in science or history?  College application essays?  Come to Literacy Lab!  We are here to help you Monday Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:20 to 4:30 in room 302.  Se Habla Espanol!
  • The JFK Girls golf team is in need of two more players to make a full team. Interested?  Please contact Coach John Hoag!  Beginners welcome!
  • Football: Last Friday the football team had a home game against Rosemont and beat them 36-28. They have another home game this Friday. GREEN SCREAM MACHINE will be there! Come out and support the cougars
  • Volleyball: yesterday the volleyball team beat Laguna creek 3-2. There will be a home game tomorrow against Burbank. Come out and support the team!
  • Women’s water polo: last Saturday the women’s water polo team played in the Sierra shootout. They beat Edison 16-1 and American Canyon 11-2. They have an away game tomorrow at Fairfield.
  • Men’s water polo: last weekend at the Sierra shootout, the boys water polo team placed undefeated and won their bracket! Amazing job boys! They have an away game tomorrow at Fairfield.
  • Juniors and Seniors! Powder Puff practice starts next week! Juniors practice Mondays and Wednesdays and Seniors practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Meet on the field by the blacktop at 3:40! ONLY STUDENTS with athletic clearance can practice!
