  • Class of 2019 Sober Grad Night tickets will be on sale during back-to-school night starting at 5:30p on the Quad. Do not miss this opportunity to attend the 2019 graduation party. This will be your last chance to buy a ticket for $10.
  • Seniors going on Senior Trip with Mr. O! There will be an informational meeting next Wednesday in the Little Theater at lunch! Be there!
  • Are you interested in being a part of the homecoming rally? Auditions for MCs, national anthem, and performances will occur next Tuesday and Thursday in Casey’s Corner at lunch. You must audition to be in the rally! See you there!
  • The mandatory club advisor will take place this Friday at lunch in the Little Theater! Come find out about fundraising and club rush at this very important meeting!
  • There are YEARBOOK representatives in front of the auditorium every day this week at lunch. Come buy a yearbook now, before the price goes up next week. The senior special is a great deal! Come over and pick up a flyer.
  • Hey Juniors and Seniors, U Can will be having a Historically Black College and University, College Fair this Friday. If you would like to widen your college search and find new opportunities, please make sure you see Mr. Palmer during Lunch or after school in front of the counseling center to get your permission slip. No slip, no go!
  • Come to the Garden Club after school on Wednesday in room E-6. You can get community service hours. Come clear out weeds and plants vegetables and whatever else we want done. It’ll be fun, come on. Wednesday, after school, in E-6. 
  • If you like to crochet or knit, then come to Room-V4 on Wednesday for the knitting club. Yarn, needles, and lessons are provided along with tea to drink. Come to V-4 on Wednesday to knit, drink tea, and spill tea.
  • Any junior or senior student who has a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or over and is interested in joining National Honor Society can pick up an application in room C301.  The deadline to pick up an application is Sept. 20.  Once again,  any junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or over and is interested in joining NHS pick up an application in C301.  Juniors who were members last year must re-apply.
  • Hola Raza: Our First MEChA meeting for the year is Wednesday, Sept. 12th at lunch in Mr. Valadez’ room C210. New members welcome, come celebrate our culture, leadership and education! 
  • The Kennedy Robotics team is looking for new members to join their competitive travel team for the 2018-19 school year. In addition, any students interested in graphic and web design are welcome to join and become a part of the new media team. If you are interested, come to E-1 after school any day for more information.
  • Join the Rainbow Coalition in weekly meetings to discuss LGBTQ issues, have a safe place to hang out, play games and do arts and crafts.  Wednesdays at lunch in Room D4.
  • Aloha Freshmen, come to the tailgate party on September 14 from 4-6pm where everything is free. Yes you heard me- FREE! Enjoy the free festivities and food. Bring your freshmen friends and your school ID and have a good time with your Link Crew leaders too. We would love to see all you there.
  • Need help with English?  Writing assignments in science or history?  College application essays?  Come to Literacy Lab!  We are here to help you Monday Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:20 to 4:30 in room 302.  Se Habla Espanol!
  • Hey Cougars!  Are you looking for a fun 7th period class where you can build stuff and participate in competitions?    MESA/STEM elective  is for you!  We will meet 7th period starting Monday, September 10 in room B-23!  Questions?  See Ms. Henry.  
  • Back to School Night will be on Thursday, September 13th @ 6:30pm.  Students and families are invited to meet their teachers, administrators and counselors.
