Shriner’s Toy Drive
The annual Shriner’s Chlidren’s Hospital toy drive has begun. New or gently used toys and games will be accepted either in the front office or in your student’s fourth period class. The last day to donate is December 14, and a donation will be made prior to the winter holidays.
In addition, this year, donations will be accepted for fire victims in Butte County. Toiletries are particularly needed including toilet paper, toothbrushes, soaps, deodorants, and other necessities.
For more information, please contact Activities Director Ken O’Flaherty @ Kenneth-OFlaherty@scusd.edu.
With the holiday season in full swing, students often find it more difficult to stay focused on academics. Now, though, is also a time when there is a need for dependable instruction and a minimum of undue disruptions at school. Thus, the staff and I will do our part by keeping “holiday celebrations” to a minimum. Although a time and place at school to celebrate is not out of the question, the strength of the academic program is built on consistent high quality instruction.
Your support, as always, is appreciated.

I have received a number of inquiries regarding the a school-wide SAT administration during 2018-19. I am pleased to share that, like last year, all eleventh grade students will take the SAT at school on Wednesday, March 6. There is no fee. Over the next month or two, additional information regarding the March 6 test administration will be sent to you.
