Information on Chromebook Distribution for Distance Learning


Dear John F. Kennedy Families:

Thank you for your continued patience as we navigate this unprecedented COVID-19 crisis. We realize that our students have experienced a major disruption to their educations. Again, we appreciate your support as we work together through these uncertain times.

On Wednesday, April 29, computers will be distributed to John F. Kennedy students.
At this time, we are able to provide one computer per family but only to John F. Kennedy students.

Information about computer pick-up follows:

DATE: Wednesday, April 29

TIME: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

We will use a drive-thru-style check-out system. Please see the following important details:





One sanitized computer shall be distributed to every family who does not currently have access to a device at home for online learning opportunities. We ask that you do not take a computer if your student already has access to a device. Remember, the District’s distance learning program is supported on any computer operating system.

When picking up a computer:

  • Students: Bring your school or other form of identification if available.
  • Parents/Guardians/Caretakers/Emergency Contacts: Bring identification, and have your student’s school identification card (or number) available.
  • Drivers: For safety and social distancing, please remain in your vehicle, and wait to be served.
  • Walkers: If you must walk, please keep and adhere to the 6-foot distance rule as you approach the check-out station.

Those checking out the device must review our Annual Parent and Student Rights Notification and Standards of Behavior, and sign the Student Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement (a Spanish version is here). In the event that there are not enough computers to meet demand, a make-up distribution day will be scheduled in the very near future.
