  • Juniors! Early bird tickets for Junior Prom are on sale every day this week! Come get your tickets and save yourself some money!
  • Royalty nominations for Junior Prom will also be take place next week on stage! Come nominate yourself or your friends!
  • All Cougars! TODAY is the last day to sign up for the blood drive! Come to Casey’s Corner and sign up and save some lives!
  • This Saturday, come out to Delta Shores and support the freshmen by getting some Panda Express for lunch! Then go to Chipotle between 4-9 pm to support the Juniors! Mention JFK when you pay and support your fellow Cougars!
  • Hey there Cougars, it’s your EQ Ambassadors here. We are hoping that your third quarter is going successfully. We also want to remind you about our 3rd campaign, SEEK UNDERSTANDING. Remember to meet new people, make new friends and create a friendship. You never know what the possibilities may lie ahead. We wish you a great day and an even better week.
  • SENIORS: Don’t forget to buy your yearbook this week at lunch or after school in room T-12 and save $10! The price will never be this low again!
  • ATTENTION All juniors!  The SAT is fast approaching and just around the corner.  The test will take place at Kennedy on March 6th.  The cost of the test is being covered by the school district so take advantage of a GREAT opportunity to better your chances of getting into the college or university of your dreams!
  • Interested in Cal Poly San Luis Obispo?  A representative from Cal Poly will be in room B-17 at lunch tomorrow. Bring your lunch and learn about an amazing university.  See Mr. Drotts for more information.
  • Have you ever wanted to learn how to make a video game? Do you perhaps see yourself working with technology or computers in the future? Programming is quickly becoming one of the most demanded skills of the 21st century, and JFK will be offering an introductory programming course next year. If you are interested, please see Mr. Simpson in C-306 to ask any questions. Fun is guaranteed!
  • Good news, Cougars! The SAYS poetry slam is coming back to Kennedy!  Have 2 original pieces ready to perform and come to C304 at 3 pm on February 28th to compete.  Questions? Stop by the ASSETs office in B8 to find out more about SAYS.  
  • Calling all runners, Link Crew, Student Government, and student volunteers.  The JFK Unified Track and Field team for Special Olympics needs athletes that want to join us in a mile run, help set up, break down, and run skills.  Event is May 3rd, JFK is hosting 4 schools for this event.  Swing by D1 or D3 for more information.  
  • Are you a current sophomore or junior interested in the study of life or a career in the medical field? If so, come to B-28 TODAY during lunch to learn more about taking Advanced Placement Biology next year! Current AP Bio students and Ms. Fugina will be there to answer any questions you may have about the course. Come see if AP Bio is right for you! 
  • Cougar Wrestling ended up taking 3rd in the league tournament.  JFK took 5 wrestlers to the Divisional’s tournament at Casa Roble and came in 14th place out of 32 teams.  Both Jordan Noble and Abdurraham (Man-Man) Garner qualified for the NorCal Master’s tournament in Stockton.  Jordan Noble came within one match from qualifying for the state tournament in Bakersfield.  Great job to the Cougar Wrestling team!
  • JFK Track and Field Team practice begins Monday February 4th @ 3:45 PM in the stadium.   We will practice every school day. If you wish to join or need more information about our Metro League Champion track team please come out to any practice. Winter sports athletes are welcome to join after their seasons end.
