This course is a year-long introductory course for anyone who is interested in exploring visual art through 3-dimensional materials. Students will learn the fundamentals of sculpture while they gain an understanding of the principles and elements of art. Students will explore a variety of materials including clay, wire, wood, paper-mache, block carving, metal and plaster. This is a laboratory/shop situation for those who are able to safely work with others to explore the possibilities available to the 3-D artist.
