  • Dress Code – As the weather starts to warm up and we head into Spring, please be mindful of the school dress code. No sagging, no excessively short bottoms or revealing tops and mid-sections must be completely covered. With respect to colors. No solid red or blue tops or bottoms and no multiple articles of clothing that are red or blue despite having print on them.

  • Black History Month began as “Negro History Week,” which was created in 1926 by Carter G. Woodson, a noted African American historian, scholar, educator, and publisher. It became a month-long celebration in 1976. The month of February was chosen to coincide with the birthdays of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.
  • Junior Prom is coming up March 4th and there are only a few more days to buy tickets. Come to Casey’s Corner Tuesdays or Thursdays at lunch OR Friday March 3rd at lunch.

  • Royalty nominations will be TODAY AND TOMORROW ONLY on stage at lunch, so be sure to nominate!
  • Rally autions will be TODAY in casey’s corner at lunch for national anthem, MCs, and any performances. Come try out!
  • Hey Cougars. Our spring blood drive is happening on February 28th! Sign ups will start Friday the 17th on the stage at lunch!

  • Today the first John F. Kennedy Chess Tournament officially begins! Everyone who sign up for the tournament please report to the library today lunch. Remember great prizes will be rewarded to the 6 champions. Let the Game of Chess begin!

  • Casey’s Corner will be open today and tomorrow for Snowcoming tickets! $5 with ASB, $10 without, and $15 for a guest pass! Tickets will be $20 at the door for ALL STUDENTS! Please bring your JFK ID!
  • ATTN SENIORS. Grad Night tickets will be sold after school in the front office on Wednesday Feb. 15.  This is the last day to purchase tickets at the Early Bird price of $35.  If you cannot make the Feb.

  • Attention Interact members.  There is an Interact meeting on Thursday at lunch in room C-217.  Also, on Wednesday is our club picture.  Make sure you bring your pass with you and wear your Interact t-shirt.
  • Wow wow wow! Yet again the Kennedy Speech and Debate dominated at last weeks tournament! Billy T Hernandez, Tatiana Weltman, Tyler Reynen, Kaitlyn Kui, Cody Mak, Lucy Salazar and Tim Trumbly all made finals!

  • It’s that time again-the new issue is of the Clarion, our student newspaper, is on the news stands now!  Pick up your copy in the boxes outside the counseling office and the auditorium or in B12, Clarion Headquarters. Get your free copy and read all about it!

  • Hey cougars! Did you know you can use just one paper towel to dry your hands? It’s easy to conserve. Just shake the water off your hands, and fold the towel up before wiping off the water. Good things come in trees, so remember to use one or use none. Protect the planet, save the world.
  • JFK Color Guard will be selling baked goods for $1 and large boba drinks for $5 on the stage, Tuesdays and Thursdays after school!!

  • Do you have used clothes or books that you have no use for anymore? Donate them to We For She’s drive to help benefit victims of the sex trade, sexual assault, and domestic abuse through the organization WEAVE.
