A quick reminder that the school-wide dress code policy applies to all costumes worn at school in celebration of Halloween. Anything that disguises the face (excessive make-up, mask, paint) will not be permitted.
In addition, as you may already know, social media is being used to post warnings about clowns showing up on school campuses and in other public places. The school takes all threats and the integrity of the educational environment very seriously. With this in mind, students will not be allowed to dress up as clowns at school on or around the Halloween holiday.
Congratulations to Coach Pollock and the entire Kennedy girls’ volleyball team on winning their fifth metro league title! The team will take part in the playoffs next week. Way to go, lady Cougars!
Coach Perkins and the water polo team has finished their season with a second place finish last weekend in the Napa tournament.
Come out and watch Kennedy football play Florin tomorrow night at Monterey Trail High School.
Google Apps for Education
This year, the District is providing students with access to a digital resource known as Google Apps for Education. Google Apps allows students to create and store documents, study, and collaborate anywhere there is an Internet connection. Please read more about this important resource here.
The class of 2017 is sponsoring a “shredding day” at Kennedy on Saturday, November 19 starting at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m. There is a fee of $3 per grocery bag and/or $5 per box. This is an excellent opportunity to clean out and protect against identity theft while supporting the Kennedy class of 2017.
Paper and hard drives are acceptable; all donations will be securely destroyed by RID – Rapid Information Destruction.
