Superintendent’s Message Regarding Election
Please see the Superintendent’s message here.
At this time of the year, it is easy to become distracted. Years in a classroom taught me that now is the time that students need consistent instruction and few distractions at school. The faculty and I are keeping “holiday celebrations” to a minimum. Although a time and place at school to celebrate is not beyond the pale, the strength of the academic program depends on consistent high quality instruction.

Many thanks to those who have volunteered to be a part of this very important leadership structure.
Here’s wishing you and yours a restful, happy Thanksgiving holiday. The faculty, staff, and I thank you for your ongoing support and look forward to seeing you after the break.
Courtesy of Cindy Jones, resident webpage master as well as assistant to Assistant Principal Yung, the school’s website has been heavily revised during the past 12 months. Always a work in progress, a great deal of content has been added, and the menus have been simplified. If there is information that you would like to see added, please tell us.
The website is available at www.jfk.scusd.edu.
Shout-out here to Jack Parsh (‘17) for donation and installation of the cougar statue in the stadium! We’ll be sure to post a picture to the website very soon. In the meantime, check it out on our Facebook page.
Please join me in wishing our marching band the very best of luck in this coming Saturday’s competition in Stockton. It’s been a winning season, and space has been made for another first-place trophy!
It has come to my attention that there are some student athletes who have not received varsity letters in recognition of their athletic contributions at Kennedy. If you believe that your student should have received a letter but did not (regardless of the year of participation), please contact Matt Costa, Athletic Director, @ Matthew-Costa@scusd.edu.
As a reminder, in order to qualify for a letter, participation in a recognized (varsity) sport for at least one full season is required.
