Every California school district is required to survey families on their experiences with regard to school safety and connectedness. This is the first time that Sacramento City Unified has implemented a broad, District-wide survey on these measures. The information from this anonymous survey will be used to inform District decisions in the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and will guide how state funds are used.
Please take the survey to share your views by June 1, so your responses may be incorporated into the LCAP. The short survey should take no more than 20 minutes.
As you may have heard, there have been hundreds of confirmed cases of norovirus in Sacramento and Yolo counties. Norovirus is highly contagious and spreads rapidly, so it is critical that parents are aware of the symptoms and keep their children home until 48 hours after children no longer are experiencing symptoms – stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhea.
Please be aware that hand sanitizer does not kill norovirus. Thorough, vigorous hand washing with soap and water is preferred to hand sanitizer.
The District’s Health Services department has prepared an information letter that includes norovirus prevention tips.
Yearbook & Newspaper (2018)
There is still time to apply to be a part of the yearbook and/or newspaper team(s) for next year! After seeing this year’s yearbook (thank you, Ms. Hanzlik) and in recognition of the excellence in the newspaper class, more applications are expected.
Successful completion of either yearbook or newspaper may waive the senior project requirement. Please direct your student to Ms. Hanzlik for more information.
