The Clarion is written, edited and produced by members of the JFK Clarion Media club. It is a non-profit publication paid for by advertisements and donations. The Clarion newspaper was established as an open forum for student expression. The content of the Clarion reflects the interests and ideas of students but not necessarily those of JFK administration, faculty and staff.
A senior class of 526 students is preparing for graduation this June. This culminating event marks the end of high school, but the beginning of life as an adult. Of course, there is no shortage of events to celebrate.
Every year, John F. Kennedy High School holds a Poetry Out Loud competition with students from all grades participating. The 2015-2016 contest was held on December 17 in the JFK auditorium with students chosen by their English teacher after in-class competition.
Announcements are read every Tuesday & Thursday at the beginning of 2nd period.
ALL requests are subject to approval and must be submitted by 12:00 PM the day before the announcement(s) is to be made. If this request is submitted after 12:00 PM the day before or on the morning of announcements, it will be postponed until the next announcement day.
