  • Attention Interact members.  There is an Interact meeting on Thursday at lunch in room C-217.  Also, on Wednesday is our club picture.  Make sure you bring your pass with you and wear your Interact t-shirt.
  • Wow wow wow! Yet again the Kennedy Speech and Debate dominated at last weeks tournament! Billy T Hernandez, Tatiana Weltman, Tyler Reynen, Kaitlyn Kui, Cody Mak, Lucy Salazar and Tim Trumbly all made finals! Congrats team!
  • Calling all Art Club members!  There is a meeting this Wednesday during lunch in F-1.  Come see how you can be a part of our campus Youth Art Month assembly and help with our campus mural project.  See you this Wednesday at lunch in F-1!
  • Attention anyone who wants to participate in the upcoming Pokémon Battle Tournament, Make sure you have a copy of Pokémon Sun, Moon, X, or Y. If you wish to participate, sign-up sheets are in Room C-217. ALL sign-ups must be in BY THIS FRIDAY. Come to our Pokémon Club meeting during lunch THIS Friday for rules and answers to any questions about the Tournament, which begins next Friday, February 17th. See you all, trainers!
  • Art club members please go to F-1, the 3D art room, at lunch for club photo announcements and to get your passes. This will be the only time to get them 
  • Do you want to take AP Physics next year?  If you want to learn more about our AP Physics program, come to our Q&A session this Friday or next Friday in room B-24.

  • Ladies as Gentlemen, the class of 2017 will be holding Senior Auction this week! Seniors will be auctioned off at lunch this Thursday and Friday in the Little Theater, so come on out and buy a senior!
  • Attention all CSF members, the Spring 2017 Applications are out! Applications are now open to Freshmans as well. Pick one up at Mr. Lam’s room (T5), your teacher’s room, the front office, or the counseling office.
  • It’s that time again-the new issue is of the Clarion, our student newspaper, is on the news stands now!  Pick up your copy in the boxes outside the counseling office and the auditorium or in B12, Clarion Headquarters.

  • Want to try and win a free trip to Washington, D.C.? Want to learn about the Stock Market? Want to spend $100,000.00 on stock? Mr. Pauly, room C-317, is looking for 30 students to participate in the Capitol Hill Challenge.
  • Contest runs from February 6th to May 12th.
  • Club picture day for the yearbook is happening Wednesday, Feb. 1 and Wednesday, Feb. 8th during school hours.  Club members should see their club advisor for their picture date and passes as soon as possible.
  • Come to the school Garden after school on Wednesday! Spring is coming up and we gotta get ready. Tear up that nasty, nutrient-less dirt and replace it with our new delicious dirt. Come to the garden in E-6 after school on Wednesday. E-6, after school, Wednesday.
  • Second semester ASSETs classes are up and running!  If you would like to add a zero or 7th period class to your schedule or withdraw from a former class, come see Ms. Cooper in B8.  If you have registered for a class, check out your schedule under the JFK Y-E-S calendar on your Infinite Campus page.  Come to B8 with questions!
  • Classes of 2018 and 2019, are you interested in learning more information about Advanced Placement Biology? If so, please come to the information sessions in Mrs. Fugina’s classroom in B-28 on February 9 and 16 during lunch to hear about the class. Students who are currently enrolled will be presenting to tell you more about what it is like to be an AP Biology student! Hope to see you there!
  • Attention MLA!  Starting second semester, Men’s Leadership Academy will meet on MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS in room F5 after school.  Find Mr. DeFroe, Mr. Calloway, or Ms. Cooper for questions.
  • The 2017 Track and Field Season Is Here! We will practice every day that school is in session rain or shine! In case of heavy rain we will meet in front of the cafeteria. All students are welcome to come out and to help us make 2017 another Great  Season! Winter sport athletes are welcome to come out after their season ends.
  • Hey Ladies! Are you interested in playing flag football? Well join Lady’s Territory! We teach girls of any grade level how to play flag football and we will be having practice this Thursday after school from 2:45-4 on the grass field so come on out! 
  • Yesterday, your Varsity boys and girls basketball defeated Laguna Creek High School. The JV Boys Soccer came out with a 9-0 victory against Laguna Creek and Varsity Girls Soccer came out with a 1-1 tie. JV Girls basketball dominated their game with 54-15.
  • The JV Soccer defeated Laguna Creek Yesterday
  • Tomorrow, your Girls Basketball has a home game against Johnson and your Boys basketball is away against Johnson. JV starts at 5:30 and Varsity at 7.
  • The Girls Soccer will face off home against Johnson at 4:30 tomorrow for Varsity. The Boys Soccer has an away game against Johnson. JV starts at 3:30 and Varsity at 6:30.
  • Tomorrow there are tryouts for your men’s Volleyball which starts at 6pm in the small gym. Be sure to attend if interested. Swim season started so if you’re interested meet up at the pool after school at 3:30
